Reverend Stacey O’Neal Harcum Reverend Stacey O’Neal Harcum was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. At the age of five, he began music instruction with the saxophone. Reverend Stacey excelled in music and by the age of nine he played professionally throughout the greater Philadelphia area. Reverend Stacey studied classical saxophone at Temple University and jazz at the University of the Arts. He has a wealth of experience in live performance and recording. Reverend Stacey has traveled across the United States, Europe and Asia, performing with artist such as Patti LaBelle, The Stylistics, and Blue Magic. And has recorded with Robbie Mychals, Jamaladeen Taccuma, and Jean Carne to name a few. He has also shared the stage with Kirk Whalum, Najee, Gerald Albright, Dawne Lewis, Grover Washington, Gerald Veasley, Stevie Wonder and The Yellowjackets. Reverend Stacey is well noted in the music industry for his versatility as a musician and phenomenal vocal arranger. He has been sought out by various artists including Grammy award-winning singer Teddy Pendergrass, gold certified R&B artist Sybil, Sister Sledge and Lorenzo. He has played a key role in cultivating and developing many up and coming groups, such as Epic recording artists Total Commitment and Star Search finalist Imani. Reverend Stacey’s secular music career took a drastic turn when he had a personal encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ and was exposed to his true purpose in life. He has now become a dedicated bond servant of the Lord Jesus Christ. As his music career continued, he performed and arranged music for such artist as Johnny Thompson’s Singers, Dorothy Norwood, Yvette Flunder, Glenn Washington and The Youth Delegation, Tony Fields and The New Testament Ensemble, Jehovah’s Chosen, Brian Pugh, Poet Sharon Smalls, Marlo Franklin, Divine Praise, Imani, Randy Gibson, Dionne Curtis and contemporary Christian Jazz group Breath of Heaven, featuring world renowned bassist Gerald Veasley. Reverend Stacey has spent the last twelve years as the Worship Leader at CareView Community Church (formerly named First Bible Fellowship Church) in Lansdowne, Pennsylvania, under the leadership of Paul J. James, Senior Reverend. He has also lead worship workshops and conferences all over the world. Reverend Stacey’s passion and hunger for the Lord Jesus Christ’s mandate for global mission’s has lead him on several short term mission’s trips to cities in Africa, such as Zimbabwe, Zambia and Namibia. Reverend Stacey’s personal mission for the kingdom of God is to revive, exhort, and restore the people of God to the biblical mandate of Praise and Worship, with a focus on the word, ways, and will of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In addition, he has committed and will continue to commit his life to live and model the lifestyle of a true worshipper. This will be accomplished by a passionate response of gratitude toward the heart of God, for who He is in his life. Hence, Reverend Stacey will continue to utilize all the spiritual gifts and talents that God has given him, to present creative forms of the arts, via, poetry, drama, music, song, prayer, and the Word of God. Reverend Stacey married the pearl of his life, Karen Ann Harcum on August 15, 1992. Together, they are the parents of two wonderful children, a son Stacey Jaleel and a daughter, Lael Ann. Reverend Stacey has been faithful to love his wife the way Christ loves the church and he has been faithful to nurture and admonish his family. |
